If the Top Gear trio were to abandon the BBC and start a YouTube subscription channel, a la /Drive, would you pay for it?

No.

I pay for Drive + and Top Gear Mag so yeah.

No. I've been saying I want them to go to HBO/Showtime, but another idea has come to mind, Netflix. Especially since Netflix has come out and said that some of their newer shows will be weekly releases instead of all at once.

Depends on the price point.

I'll never pay to watch anything on YouTube

They would go to Netflix I guarantee it.

Nope. Roadkill is ten times better (IMO) and it's free.

They wouldn't have to consider YouTube. Any major network on earth would love to have the global viewership these three reign in for BBC, and after them, Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon would also love to snatch away that audience.
I bet the result of all this will be a fine or some sort of restitution to the producer. After that, it's probably up to the trio if they want to continue with the show. It's because of the Saville scandal that these rules were put in place at BBC, but drunkenly punching a producer is a far cry from diddling around with kids. That plus the millions BBC has already lost due to this makes me think Top Gear has a chance to recover.
If it does, it's definitely the last fuck up they can afford for the life of the show, however.

As long as Matt Farah isn't on it, yes.

No.
I'd be willing to sit through a few ads to watch them, though.

Yup, I happily pay for Drive+ and would do the same if there was a Top Gear online version.
I'm really not sure why some are so vocal against a pay per view online option, but all the "No" people sure like to share their distaste. Just because it is on the internet doesn't mean it has to be free.
